Synopsis
A mysterious woman kidnaps a sex doll, Natasha, from a brothel. They embark on a journey full of difficulties. A woman and a doll. They are strangers but slowly have built a sisterhood between each other. She has no choice but to finish this mission, no matter what it takes.
Director’s Statement
Seeing how the world is divided more and more every single day, sometimes I feel that nothing about this world makes sense to me anymore. A lot of things are just beyond my comprehension. In this short film, for me the main question isn’t “why would people form relationships with dolls.”, but that would we accept and coexist with those things and values, which we would never understand, no matter how hard we try? As a part of the society, are we able to coexist with the fact that people will never think/feel the same?
Director’s Bio – Galilee Ma
Galilee MA is a Taiwan-based Macanese playwright, screenwriter, director, and actor for theater and film, passionate for experimenting with narrative forms. Her works revolve around technology and fantasy with female-driven perspectives.
